Earth’s water consists of the same water molecules that have existed since Earth’s beginning. The work The Nature of Water consists of a river’s measurements of temperature, salinity and depth: the three elements that make up the properties of water. This was done using a so-called CTD instrument, measuring calvinity (also known as salinity), temperature and depth .
The information about the river has been translated into three tones that change pitch in proportion to the measured data.
1 time per minute they together form a changing triad that makes the changing nature of the water audible, for the duration of the exhibition.
